ब्रिटिश गोर्खा नेपालका नयाँ कमाण्डर १२ जुन् २०२१ मा आइपुग्नुभयो | महासेनानी पल स्मिथ पहिले ‘क्युइन्स ओन गोर्खा लजिस्टिक रेजिमेन्ट’ (Queens Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment) मा सेवारत हुनुहुन्थ्यो र अहिले ‘मुख्य भर्ती अधिकारी’ (Chief Recruiting Officer) सहितको यस पद ग्रहण गर्दा खुशी हुनुहुन्छ | गोर्खा भर्ती २०२२ (Recruit Intake 2022) स्वतन्त्र, निष्पक्ष र पारदर्शी ढङ्गमा संचालन गर्नु महासेनानी स्मिथ प्रतिबद्ध हुनुहुन्छ |
दुर्भाग्यवस, कोरोनाभाइरसले हाम्रो ब्रिटिश आर्मी र गोर्खा कन्टिनजेन्ट सिङ्गापुर पुलिस फोर्सको भर्ती छनौंटमा अझैं असर गरिरहेको छ | तर विश्वस्त रहनुहोस् की यो वर्ष भर्ती छनौंट संचालन गर्ने उपायहरू खोज्न हामी धेरै प्रयाशरत छौं |
देशको विभिन्न भागहरूमा हामी जान नमिल्दा पहिलोपल्ट अनलाइन रेजिष्ट्रेसनको प्रयोग हुन गइरहेको छ | यसले हामीलाई क्षेत्रीय छनौंटको तयारीको लागि सहयोग पुर्याउनेछ | आशा छ यो २८ जुन् देखि १६ जुलाइ सम्ममा सम्पन्न हुनेछ र सबै जानकारी हाम्रो वेबसाइटमा प्रकाशित हुनेछ |

Message on behalf of Commander BGN!
The new Commander British Gurkhas Nepal arrived on 12 June 2021. Colonel Paul Smith has previously served with Queens Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment and is pleased to take up his post, which includes Chief Recruiting Officer, Brigade of Gurkhas. Colonel Smith is committed to delivering free, fair, and transparent recruiting for Recruit Intake 2022.
Unfortunately, the coronavirus continues to affect recruit selection for the British Army and Gurkha Contingent Singapore police force. Please be reassured that we are working very hard to try and find solutions to deliver recruiting this year.
As we are not yet permitted to travel around the country we will shortly see the release of the first use of online registration. This will help us plan for Regional selection. This will hopefully run from 28 June to 16 July and all the information about it will be published on our website as usual.
As we do not yet know when the restrictions will be lifted we are still planning on running Regional selection between September and December. However, we will have to respect the Government of Nepal’s decision so this may be delayed if there is no improvement in the COVID situation.
Remember, the selection is free and if anyone asks you for money, it is a crime and must be reported to the police.
